Long Range / Dual Motor - not a vehicle for everyone. We're giving our customers who are interested in entering the world of electric cars the opportunity to lease this unique vehicle.
I had the opportunity to test drive and test drive this vehicle for a few days. I'll throw a few observations here to help you decide if the Tesla Model 3 is worth at least a few days of renting and testing.
1) Who is the vehicle for (number of people)?
The Tesla Model 3 is more sporty (both in appearance and interior) than family friendly, but you can still fit 2 car seats comfortably in the car - it's a perfectly adequate and spacious vehicle for four people.
the luggage compartment is not high, but deep, it also has a double bottom and a front luggage compartment instead of the engine, where you will carry charging cables and a few other things
you can ride comfortably alone, but if you need to, four people can ride in complete comfort and without any restrictions
2) Who the vehicle is intended for (in terms of use)
90% of trips are around the house - to work, school, nursery, to visit friends at parties, celebrations, etc., the Tesla Model 3 is the ideal vehicle
You'll need to plan 10% of your journeys in advance - that's where Tesla's software is unbeatable. You set your destination in the sat nav and the computer automatically shows you where you'll be parked and how long you'll be charging during your journey. The car sorts it out for you and writes the range, including stops for charging/coffee or lunch
The Tesla Model 3 is a daily car for everyday use for the average person, but also for the business manager, the woman on maternity leave, or the young person who does things online, works from home or the office, deals with technology and enjoys interacting with the car and using its gadgets.
3) Best vehicle features
car navigation: as I mentioned above, the navigation not only calculates your route, but also writes down your range, including charging stops. It will tell you where you'll be standing for how long and how much battery you'll reach your destination with.
air conditioning / heating - controlled via the app, it cools or heats the interior to your desired temperature before you get in the car - wherever you are. It can even keep your car at 30 to 40 degrees on summer days, for example, when it can be over 50 degrees Celsius in a few minutes.
Tesla app on your mobile - all the information you need about your vehicle (charging time, route, fuel consumption, battery info, etc.), but also unlocking, vehicle control and alarm.
vehicle security - in addition to the GPS system, the car is equipped with cameras around the vehicle that monitor the events around the car 24/7. If a person approaches or handles the car, the app will let you know in time.
multimedia, YouTube, Netflix or games - to help you or the kids stay in the car while charging or waiting. You can comfortably watch a show, video or work on your laptop. Even when you park the car - if you don't get out - it won't turn off the air conditioning and keeps passengers comfortable even when stationary.
the performance of the car - it's incredible, it's instantaneous and sometimes you struggle to keep it on the road - especially with the Dual Motor version where you've got a 4x4 and two engines - one on each axle. But there's a CHILL mode that takes away from the power and you can drive like a normal person.
stability - the vehicle is heavy, the centre of gravity is very low in the floor thanks to the torch, so it is rigid, solid, literally glued to the ground and has a sporty impression. It's a matter of habit, but compared to the Superb, it's almost as if it has no shock absorbers or springs.
The Tesla Model 3 isn't a car for everyone, but it's definitely worth checking out and testing. We think the car is the best of the current lineup on the market, thanks in part to the custom software, hardware, and batteries that combine to create a unique whole - one that works.
