Overview of the terms of the lease agreement

Responsibility of the Lessee

1. Consent and liability:

By signing the rental agreement the Lessee agrees to rent the vehicle from the company Autá Košice (Autá Košice s.r.o.) and accepts responsibility for the vehicle and all items included in the contract until they are properly handed over to a representative of the company and the vehicle is inspected by the Lessor. The Lessee is obliged to return the vehicle in the condition in which it was received, taking into account normal wear and tear.

2. Liability for damages:

The Lessee is liable for damages caused to the rented vehicle, unless they were not recorded when the vehicle was taken over. The cost of repairing such damage shall be borne by the Renter, his liability being limited to the deductible agreed in the rental contract.

3. Returning the vehicle outside opening hours:

If the Lessee returns the vehicle outside of opening hours, the Lessee remains responsible for the vehicle until the Lessor inspects the vehicle. The Hirer is advised to take photographs of the vehicle and park it in a safe place where parking is permitted. For the avoidance of doubt, it is recommended that the Hirer hands over the vehicle during opening hours in the presence of a representative of the Lessor.

Operating conditions

4. Traffic offences:

The Lessee shall be responsible for all traffic violations, including parking violations and speeding violations, that occur during the rental period. In addition to fines, the Lessor may charge an administrative fee for dealing with violations. The amount of the fee and the method of resolution depend on the nature of the offence and the country where it occurred.

5. Fuel:

At the beginning of the rental, the Lessee will be provided with information on the required amount and type of fuel to return the vehicle. The vehicle must be returned with the agreed amount of fuel and refuelled with the correct type. Failure to comply with this condition will result in the Hirer being charged for refuelling or rectifying the consequences of incorrect refuelling.

6. Other drivers:

The vehicle may only be driven by the person named in the rental contract. The permission of another person to drive the vehicle must be approved by the Lessor.

Conditions for returning the vehicle

7. Standard returns:

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed time and place. If the Lessee fails to return the vehicle on time, the Lessor is entitled to charge additional fees according to the rental agreement.

8. Early return:

The rental price is calculated based on the total length of the rental. In the event of an early return of the vehicle, the Lessee is not entitled to a refund of the unused portion of the rental.

Reservation and cancellation

9. Reservation:

The reservation of the vehicle becomes binding upon payment of the advance invoice. In case of cancellation, the deposit is non-refundable. If the Hirer does not collect the vehicle on the agreed date, the vehicle remains reserved for the entire agreed rental period and the terms of the rental agreement apply.

10. Failure to take delivery of the vehicle:

If the Renter does not take possession of the vehicle on the due date, the vehicle is available according to the rental agreement or valid reservation. The Lessor is under no obligation to provide alternative dates.
