Important information before renting a car / FAQ
-
In order to produce an accurate and fair quotation, it is essential that you complete all of the questions contained in our quotation request on this page.
We will be happy to prepare a quotation for you over the phone, even outside working hours. Please note, however, that in this case the price is a guide price.
You set the terms and conditions of your rental - so please do not hesitate to inform us of any specific requirements so that we can prepare an offer to suit your needs.
-
The reservation of a vehicle is binding only after the reservation deposit has been paid, which can be paid via our payment gateway - most often by debit or credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal or other available payment methods.
After completing the quote request, you will receive payment instructions to the email address provided. If you receive a response to your request, this means that the vehicle is currently available and will be booked and ready for your specified date after the deposit is paid.
Please note: If you pay for your reservation several hours or days in advance, it may happen that the vehicle is booked in the meantime. In this case, we will offer you an alternative solution or, if there is no other option, we will refund your payment.
Cancellation and Cancellation: cancellation is possible in accordance with our cancellation policy, which can be found in the table of cancellation fees for already paid reservations.
Non-Binding Quote Note: If a booking has not been paid as instructed in response to a request for a quote - the response to that request will not be considered a binding booking of the vehicle. In this case, the vehicle will not be ready for the requested date.
We recommend that you make a binding reservation when you have set the exact date and other conditions of the rental.
The purpose of the lease and the landlord's responsibility: The lessor provides the vehicle for the agreed rental period, not for the lessee's specific purpose or benefit from the rental. If the rental vehicle is no longer needed by the renter, this is not grounds for cancellation or refund. We have fulfilled our obligation as the lessor by delivering the vehicle at the agreed time.
-
The vehicle will be ready for collection at your chosen location and preferred time, unless otherwise agreed in response to the rental request.
Inspection and Documentation of the Vehicle before Rental: Each vehicle undergoes a thorough inspection before handover. We record the current odometer reading, fuel quantity and other relevant data. We take complete photo documentation prior to rental - recording equipment, interior condition and exterior body condition. We recommend that hirers also record the condition of the vehicle (e.g. bodywork and dashboard) for their own records.
Responsible Person in the Rental Contract: The Rental Contract specifies one responsible person who takes over the vehicle. This person is responsible for the condition of the vehicle after the rental, the proper handling of the vehicle during the rental, the designation of other persons authorized to handle the vehicle, as well as any fines and related strict liability.
Refundable Deposit: A pre-agreed refundable deposit is made upon collection of the vehicle, which can be paid in cash, by credit card or by bank transfer.
Payment of the Rental and Deposit: Payment for the rental and deposit must be made and credited to our account no later than at the time of collection of the vehicle. When booking a vehicle, the rental is due at the time of booking.
Vehicle rental is available for persons at least 21 years of age with a valid driver's license issued at least 2 years ago. For some vehicles or rentals above certain categories, a higher age limit (e.g. 25 years) and specific driving experience may be required.
-
During the entire rental period, the renter is obliged to treat the vehicle responsibly as his/her own. This includes obeying speed limits, laws, ordinances and road restrictions. The vehicle must be properly parked, locked and secured against theft, unwanted movement or damage.
Responsibility during the Rental Period: During the rental period, the renter is fully responsible for the vehicle.
For long-term rentals (over 30 days), the renter is required to perform regular service checks, including oil and coolant checks every 1,000 km.
Motorway Stamps: all our vehicles are equipped with a Slovak motorway stamp. If you are planning a trip abroad and the country requires a vignette, it is the responsibility of the renter to obtain one as required (if travel outside of Slovakia is approved).
Extension of the lease: In case of need to extend the lease, the tenant is obliged to inform us immediately, even by phone.
Reporting Damages and Breakdowns: in the event of damage or breakdowns to the vehicle, the renter is obliged to inform us immediately so that we can deal with the situation as quickly as possible.
Non-Smoking Vehicles: All our vehicles are non-smoking and therefore smoking is strictly prohibited.
The vehicle is handed over with a certain amount of fuel in the tank, so we require it to be returned with approximately the same amount. If the vehicle is returned with a lower fuel level, a refill fee will be charged including a handling fee.
Travel abroad is only possible with the written consent of the landlord. Some vehicles have limited permission to travel to certain countries. It is the responsibility of the renter to secure the appropriate highway tags and permits in each state through which they plan to travel.
In the event of a breakdown of the vehicle, the lessee is obliged to contact the lessor immediately. We offer our customers 24-hour assistance services in case of an accident or breakdown in the territory of the Slovak Republic.
-
The hirer is responsible for compliance with all safety regulations when transporting people or cargo. The vehicle must not be overloaded and all persons must be restrained while driving.
-
The vehicle shall be handed over in the condition in which it was rented, taking into account normal wear and tear caused by standard use. On handover, the vehicle must be clean so that any damage can be clearly inspected.
Reporting of Damages and Insured Events: the Lessee is obliged to inform us of any damage or insured events at the latest upon handover of the vehicle.
Vehicle handover date: The vehicle is handed over according to the pre-agreed date specified in the rental contract. In the event that the vehicle is not returned within 30 minutes after the agreed time, we are entitled to charge an additional rental day or a late return penalty.
Mileage: If the renter drives fewer kilometres than pre-booked, there is no right to a refund. The service has been provided according to the agreed terms and price, and we are not responsible for not using the full limit.
Early Return of Vehicle: If the renter returns the vehicle earlier than agreed, there is no right to a refund for the unused time. The service has been provided as per the terms of the contract and we are not liable for failure to use the full rental period.
-
A deposit of 300€ is required for each vehicle rental, depending on the type of vehicle and the nature of the rental. We communicate the amount of the deposit immediately in response to the request for a quote.
Purpose of the Deposit: The deposit is used to cover any costs related to damages caused during the rental period, to pay the deductible on the collision insurance, to pay fines, fees or to clean the vehicle.
A deposit of 300 € or more (depending on the type of vehicle and the nature of the rental) is required before the vehicle is handed over. This deposit is refundable only if all the conditions of the rental are met.
Return of Deposit: If the vehicle is returned in good order and meets all the requirements for handover, we will return the deposit immediately. Deposits paid in cash will be refunded immediately and deposits blocked on a credit card will be unblocked immediately. Please note that the processing time for unblocking depends on your bank and takes approximately 3-7 business days.
-
Highway Stamps: when crossing borders and using highways in other states, it is the renter's responsibility to purchase the appropriate highway stamp. It is the responsibility of the lessee to choose the correct category of vignette, for example, in Hungary the category D2 is required for vans and minibuses.
Cleanliness of the Vehicle on Return: if the vehicle is returned in a dirty condition that requires subsequent cleaning, this may delay the handover of the vehicle to the next hirer. We will charge an additional fee of 1 rental day for this time.
Unauthorised Boundary Crossing: crossing the boundary without permission or without notification will result in the hirer being liable for any costs incurred in the event of breakdown or damage to the vehicle. In this case, the hirer must arrange for repairs and return the vehicle to our main office in its original condition at their expense.
Choosing the Right Type of Vehicle: For customers who are unsure of the right type of vehicle, photos and videos of individual vehicles are available on our website. Interested customers can also come and see the vehicles in person at our main office.
-
For Corporate Customers and Self-employed: after confirmation of the advance invoice and crediting of funds to our account, we will issue a proper invoice for the rental of the vehicle.
