Terms and conditions of car rental

General provisions

These General Terms and Conditions of Vehicle Rental (hereinafter referred to as "GTC") regulate the rights and obligations of the lessor of the means of transport (hereinafter referred to as "Lessor") and the lessee of the means of transport (hereinafter referred to as "Lessee") arising from the contract of lease of the means of transport.

For the purposes of the contract, the lessee shall be understood as a natural or legal person who has made a reservation of the vehicle, received a confirmation of the reservation from the Lessor (e.g. in the form of an advance invoice), paid this invoice or personally visited the Lessor's branch, accepted the terms of the lease and took delivery of the vehicle.

The rights and obligations of the parties shall be governed by the vehicle rental agreement, these GTC, the document "Rental Terms and Fees", as well as the provisions of Act No. 513/1991 Coll., the Commercial Code, as amended from time to time.

Terms of the lease and obligations of the parties

Minimum driving age and driving licence:

-Passenger vehicles: The minimum driving age is 19 years.

-Commercial vehicles and minibuses up to 3.5 tonnes: the minimum age of the driver is 21.

- If the required age is not met, the Lessee may apply for an exception for a fee according to the current price list.

Cancellation policy for cancellation

The following cancellation charges apply depending on the time remaining until the scheduled start of the rental period:

-More than 3 months before the start of the rental period: 0% of the total rental amount (no cancellation fee).

-3 - 2 months before the start of the rental period: 10% of the total rental amount.

-2 - 1 month before the start of the rental period: 30% of the total rental amount.

-30 - 20 days before the start of the rental period: 50% of the total rental amount.

-19 - 8 days before the start of the rental period: 70% of the total rental amount.

-7 - 0 days before the start of the rental period: 100% of the total rental amount (full rental price).

The reservation is considered binding upon payment of the advance invoice. In the event of cancellation after the reservation is binding, the advance payment is non-refundable.

Payment terms

- Payments can be made by cash, credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Diners Club, Google Pay, Apple Pay).

- A deposit is blocked on credit cards, which varies according to the category of vehicle (minimum € 300 for a rental of 1 - 5 days).

-Daily rate means 24 hours from the start of the rental, unless otherwise specified in the contract.

- An additional daily rate will be charged if the loan time exceeds 59 minutes.

Additional rental conditions

-Travelling abroad: use of the vehicle outside the EU countries is only permitted with the written consent of the Lessor.

-Refuelling: vehicles are handed over with a minimum amount of fuel. In the event of a shortage on return, a refuelling fee will be charged.

-Fines: the fine for loss of vehicle documents (within 24 hours) is €179, for loss of keys €390 and for failure to return all compulsory equipment €69.

-Airport Fee: A fee of 10% of the rental price is charged at the airport at the start of the rental.

Vehicle drop-off and pick-up

The lessor offers the possibility of stopping and picking up the vehicle anywhere in Slovakia. Charges are charged according to the distance and time needed to transport the vehicle.

Winter maintenance

During the winter season (1.10. - 31.3.) a winter maintenance fee is charged, which includes winter tyres and other vehicle maintenance.

Responsibility of the Lessee

- The renter is responsible for all charges related to the operation of the vehicle during the rental period (traffic fines, parking fees, toll road fees).

- If the maximum permissible weight of the vehicle is exceeded (overloading), a fine of EUR 3,000 and compensation for damages will be charged.

Final provisions

These GTC are effective from 1.4.2021. The Lessor reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the lease.
